  Three intonation marks are commonly used in Yoruba. They are:   Àmì mëta ni a þ sábàá lò ní èdèe Yorùbá. Àwôn ni  
         
  1. The acute accent mark (   )   1. Àmì ohùn òkè (  )  
  2. The grave accent mark (   )   2. Àmì ohùn ìsàlê (  ) àti  
  3. The middle tone accent mark (   )   3. Àmì ohùn àárín (  ).  
         
  The easy way to learn how to pronounce words with these accent marks is to compare them with three of the tones played on the Organ or Piano. These are:   Õnà tí ó rôrùn láti fi kö pípe õrõ pêlú àwôn àmì yìí ni tí a bá fi wé dídún-un mëta nínú àwôn ohùn tí a þ fi dùrù tàbí pianó tê. Àwôn ohùn náà ni
